One for the Boys

It’s Lili’s Little Fairies Challenge today and this week our challenge is to make a card for a boy (or in my case man lol). I have made a valentines card and although there are the usual flowers on it does it for me.

I have used Bubble Bath from Lili of the Valley, as well as the Grunge Corners and Love Sentiments.

The paper is Prima Alla Prima pad, the ribbon is Light Scallop Blue Trim and both are from Dies to Die For.

The gorgeous turquoise flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, I spritzed them with chalk white glimmer spray then inked them with Walnut Stain.

Love Grows

My card today is a totally new colour scheme for me. It’s not often I colour with the E93 – E99 family but I love this Prima Romantique paper so it had to be done. The pretty lace is Grand Lace Trim but I am being frugal and cut it in half, so twice the lace for 1/2 the price lol

The stamp is Love Grows from Lili of the Valley. I have also used the new Love Sentiments and Grunge Corners on the card. These stamps are just totally fab and having them clear is such a bonus.

The seam binding and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used 4mm rose buds, 15mm roses, 20mm roses and 25mm hybrid tea rose

A close up of the heart from the Love Sentiments which I stamped onto Kraft in Walnut Stain then stamped the Cherish sentiment in black ink.

The inside showing the Grunge Corners in use, love them (think I already said that lol)

Hi there, a quick post to share the card I made for Lili’s Little Fairies challenge – Lavender and Lace. I sneaked some buttery yellow in to warm the lavender …. I’m not fussed on purples, lavenders and lilacs much. Give me pink any day

I have used All our dreams from Lili of the Valley and only had a scrap of the dotty paper which fitted the tag card that I had been fiddling with so job’s a good’un – card done

The 25mm hybrid tea rose, 15mm roses, 10mm roses, 6mm rose buds and lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Morning! It’s a lovely sunny and frosty day here in Leeds.

If you wondered what we have been doing here at Lili of the Valley recently, we have been beavering away getting ready new ideas & designs, and we’ve also got some other exciting news too!

We have new premises in Farsley in Leeds where we are creating a lovely shop for you to visit.

As well as being able to buy all our LOTV stamps and die cuts designs, there will be lots of card samples & inspiration for you to look at and even space for workshops, colouring classes and open days too!

It will be great to be able to welcome you to Lili of the Valley, so watch this space for more details and our official opening which will be in the next month!

It’s with regret that we want to let you know that Jacqui Dennis has stepped down from our Design Team due to other commitments.

Jacqui has been with us as one of our official card designers for many years and has played a key role in making Lili of the Valley what it is today. She will be sorely missed.

A quick post from me to share the card I have made for this week’s Lili’s Little Fairies challenge. I have used Never too old for cupcake from Lili of the Valley Stamp.

I started off with a Craftwork Cards scalloped base card, added some old Papermania papers then lace, pearls and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts with a couple of punched butterflies and job done

I love these little mice, they are perfect for all sorts of cards and they are a doddle to colour too. The one I have used today is The Chocolate Factory. The sentiment is from the For You Sentiments set also from LOTV.

The paper is K&Co Sweet Nectar from Dies to Die For, the gorge guipure lace and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used sweetheart blossoms and 30mm wild rose

Pottering Around

Happy Sunday Lili of the Valley followers, thought I would just pop on here and post a card to cheer up your day, I defy anyone not to smile at these gorgeous Mice are Nice stamps from the Autumn Release.

This is called The Potting Shed and is a fantastic stamp for spring birthdays, I made this card for a pull out and keep article in this months Papercraft Essentials. The papers used on this little rocker card are from Nitwits Collections Butterfly Kisses, I also cut the Doo Hickey Die flowers from the same paper.

I used Copics and Polychromos Pencils to colour the images the colours used are:

E53, E51, E50 R20 for the mice,

B04, B00, B0000, R83, R81RV000, RV000, BV01, BV00, BV000, YR21, YG67, YG63, E71, E70, E40 Flowers, Plant Pots and Fence.

Happy Saturday! I thought I would share the card I made for the first Lili’s Little Fairies challenge, which is the new home for all things “Lili of the Valley” challenges

The image is Little Sleepy Head with matching sentiment from Lili of the Valley, the papers are from a My Minds Eye pad - Honey Cake, and of course the gorgeous flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts as is the lace and Divine Twine.

Delight in Simple Things

Hei there.. today I have a few “springy” things to show you. This weekend I was busy with a order I got through my Etsy store for some baby items. I made this card sometime last week using one of Lili Of The Valley’s new images called “Never too old for a cupcake” The stamp comes with the cute sentiment but it was a bit large for my layout. I love stamp sets like that – what a great deal to get a image AND a sentiment for the same money. Most of you what a little sucker iam for sentiments. hahahahha

Right now iam sitting close to my sewing machine I have sew a little sack close to stuff with some fibers, to finally finish my pin cushions. My “master plan” is to finish all my knitted and most of my crochet stuff that’s been sitting here but the ends have not been waved it. I can not tell you how much I dislike to do this job. By the time I have something “finished” I have the next project in mind I and I think – oh I wave the ends in tonight but it never happens. I literally have stuff from last winter sitting in my closet that has to be finished!

Moonlight Wishes

Can you believe Christmas is less than a month away?! I can’t believe how quickly the year is speeding by. Since my kiddos started school, it seems like I blink and another month is gone! I’m hoping to get a few more Christmas cards made before I need to get them mailed out.

Today, I thought I would share a card that I made with one of the Lili of the Valley Christmas images called Moonlight Wishes. This was one of my favorite images from the Christmas releases this past summer.

There is just something so sweet about this image! I stamped the image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink. Then, I colored it with these copic markers: YG93, YG95, YG97, R24, R27, R46, R89, W1, W3, Y15, Y17, E35, YG17, YG67, E000, E00, E11, E13, R00, R02, colorless blender. I created a mask with eclipse masking tape. Then, I used a BG72 copic marker and my air compressor to spray the sky. I added some glitter to the moon and stars and some white fun flock the the ball on her cap.

I used some patterned papers from October Afternoon’s new Holiday Style paper pad. I added some crocheted lace from May Arts and some baker’s twine. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley’s Grunge Christmas Postmarks stamp set.

I wanted to show you a CAS card I made. This is one of the new images from Lily Of The Valley. This is Summer. Isn’t she a cutie??

I colored her with my copic’s and used some Spica Glitter Pens on her. The papers I have used today are from K&Co.

The sentiment I have used is also from Lily Of The Valley using a die from Go Kreate.

Little Trumpet

Hello everyone, another card added to the Christmas card pile, ready to be stamped, sealed and delivered. I'm getting there, slowly but surely!

This time I used 'Little Trumpet' for my card, and I just had to paper piece her gown. It looks like a rich, velvety damask with a bit of shading with my Copics. Just like an angel should have, lol!

The papers are from Kaisercraft, I am loving their Christmas paper pads this season! I also love that they have some coordinating die cuts in the back of the paper pad, easy to add some fancy touches to my layout.
The little silver bells and the pretty wood star are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Well I'm off to relax on my one day off from work this week, laundry, cleaning and some more stamping, lol! What a way to relax, right?!

Cake Glorious Cake!

It’s the weekend! Woohoo!! There are some exciting things happening over the coming days at Lili of the Valley so keep yer eyes peeled here ladies

Today’s card is one I made a while back using the sweet image Cake Glorious Cake from the latest release.

The gorgeous flowers and silk ribbon are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I also used some cheesecloth behind the image, new in stock at Wild Orchid Crafts.

The papers are MME Lost and Found Blush from Dies to Die For, the colours are gorgeous in this pad. The swirl die is a Doo Hickey, also from Dies to Die For.

Isn’t she just the cutest lol.

Santa Mail

Reminds me of something I want to do with my kids each year At Macy’s there is a red mail box and I tell my kids we are going there to drop the list off for Santa. Last year I got myself out of it – I told them that I had posted the letter while they were in school and I was at the mail office lol.

this card has been ordered from Sonja quite a long time ago – I just had such a hard time to find a paper I liked with it. I thought I would need papers with reds but also lots of other colors so I can color the clothes in. After I had given up digging through all the pads I have – I just started coloring and it came together so easy and I did not even need many colors.

Then paper is by Echo Park 12x12 – I must say I love it – I have the entire pack almost used up (shared half with a friend)

Garden Angel

Here’s another of those adorable new Summer stamps from Lili of the Valley, this little sweetie is called Summer Garden Angel. And no surprises….. the card is PINK! I just can’t help myself rofl.

The paper is Echo Park Victorian Garden from Dies to Die For. I have used the Doo Hickey Lovely Fence die instead of lace for a change. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly punch.

The scrummy flowers and seam binding are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I adhered 10mm roses to the fence and bow. Those dinky little roses were made for this die I think. I finished it off with a 30mm wild rose, sweetheart blossoms and 8mm semi open roses.

Musical Christmas Exploding Box

Hello blog friends, I've made another exploding box using Musical Christmas from the latest Christmas release. I love making these, they're time consuming, but the end result is just so impressive!

Here's the outside, all closed up in a pretty package.

And when you slide off the top, voila! A little holiday scene and floating snowflakes pop out at you.

I decorated little die cut pine trees with gold tinsel and red pearls.

The poinsettias are cut from vellum using a Spellbinders die, sponged with a bit of color before assembling.

The snowflakes are a SU die strip, frosted with German glass glitter and attached to thin strips of acetate.

I can't wait to send this to a very special person this Christmas!

Little Sleepy Head

I wanted to show you a sweet little card I made using one of the latest images from Lili of the Valley and this image is so darn cute that I could just squeeze that little cuddled down bear!! He is Little Sleepy Head and he was colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers adding a touch of Prisma Glitter to the mobile. The base of the card is Bazzill, the double matting is PTI, the DP is from the Kaisercraft Lullaby Collection, and all background panels are machine stitched. I used an IO Shake It and cut out the openings with a Nestie, surrounding the image with some lovely blue lace. I filled the shake it with It's A Boy confetti from the local party shop. For the horizontal I used some polka dot grosgrain and dangled a baby footsies charm from the double flat bow.Finally I added a baby boy bead bracelet and some polka dot buttons to the corners!

The inside is very simple, adding another horizontal with double flat bow to the first panel and on the jotting panel, a sentiment from the For You Circular Sentiments set and several baby buttons.

Hi friends … finished an other Lili of the Valley card. This card was ordered and I just loved to make it. This new Lili of the Valley image “Cake Glorious cake” is just too sweet and as you know all stamps have been released today!!!! I went with some pretty Stampin up papers I had saved up for a very long time.
The pinks are from the RV 000 range – I hardly ever color with the RV range but it turned out to be okay.

Hi there, here’s a card using one of the new stamps from the latest Lili of the Valley release. I was so besotted with the new Summer girls that these little cuties never got a look in bless. Still, better late than never.

My Best Friend

Today’s card is one I did a while back for samples for the Lili of the Valley stall at the shows. I so adore these new Molly Harrison images, I think it’s the hair, could sit all day colouring that.

The stamp is Summer My Best Friend, and you even get a freebie sentiment to go with it (although numptie here forgot to use it!!) The gorge paper is Magnolia Champion Turquoise Flower.

And talking of flowers, they are all from Wild Orchid Crafts natch, sweetheart blossoms, 10mm roses, cherry blossoms, 25mm hybrid tea rose and classic sweet rose.

I used Marianne Design dies for the doily, the die is called Snowflake, the flourishes are also a MD die, from the Circle Frame set. The lacy border die is a new Tim Holtz die – love it!

Christmas Bear - Presents......

This card was made using the newly released "Christmas Bear - Presents". I have coloured with Spectrum Noir Pens and added lots of sparkle. The papers used are Basic Grey Nordic Holiday and lots of embellishments from my stash including the PaperMania Scrabble Tiles which I just Love..........Just a sentiment to add when I know who its going to. No doubt that will also be from LOTV as they have such a great selection.

Never Too Old For Cupcake!!!

Have you all checked out the darling new collection over at LOTV??? The new stamps are now out and I'm sure many of them are already coming to your homes!!! There are GORGEOUS FAIRIES, ANGELS, MICE & BABIES & SOME GREAT NEW SENTIMENTS TOO!

For my card today I have used Bazzill for the base and all double matting, the DP is from the MME Lime Twist - Life of the Party Collection, and all panels are machine stitched. The image I have used is from the LOTV new release and is that cute little Never Too Old For Cupcake...she is having so much fun and really celebrating someone's special birthday!!!! She was colored with Letraset Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I added Glossy Accents to the frosting and Prisma Glitter to the wings. Note: I was moving so quickly this morning that I forgot to color the headband and antennae before the picture was taken.....smiles!!!! I never suggested I was NOT an absent-minded professor...lolol The sentiment is included with the stamp!! What a deal is that!!!! For the horizontal I used a ribbon with tiny dots tied into a double flat bow. The glittery cupcake is an ornament from my stash which I covered with WOC Fine German Glass Glitter. The floral treatment is all by Wild Orchid Crafts:Large 2-Tone Mixes Color Mulberry Paper Wild Roses 1¼" (30mm) and Sweetheart Blossoms.

Happy Friday! The best day of the week

I thought I would share the kick-stand card I made for this week’s Lili of the Valley challenge. I have not done one of these for absolute ages and they are so quick and easy to do too. If you would like me to shoot a quick video how I have done this leave a comment and if there is enough interest I will get one done.

I have used Kitty Gifts for my card, and teamed it with those delish Joyful Hearts papers from Nitwit Collections (think this is my most used kit lol). The sentiment is also Lili of the Valley, from the Set 10 – Verses stamp sheet

The little mini roses and leaves are from a Marianne Design die, the border is a Doo Hickey die and the gingham ribbon and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Just for You Because You’re Wonderful

Have you been over to the Lili of the Valley store to pick up some of the new stamps? They’re available now! I thought I would share another card that I created with one of the new images, The Chocolate Factory.

I just love these adorable little mice! I colored the image on copic x-press it cardstock with copic markers. I used these markers: YR20, YR21, W1, W3, W5, T1, T3, T5, E31, E33, E35, E37, B34, B37, R27, R30, R12, E23, E25, E27, E29, C1, N1, N3, colorless blender. I used some patterned papers from October Afternoon’s 5 & Dime paper pad and some crocheted lace from May Arts. The sentiment is from the For You Circular Sentiments set.

The new Lili of the Valley stamps go on sale at midnight tonight for those that couldn’t make the SECC and NEC shows so I thought I would post another of my sneak peek cards today. It’s another of the Summer girls, this little lady is called Lovely Lilies, too cute!

The seam binding, metal corner embellishment and flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used a carnation, sweetheart blossoms, 10mm roses and 8mm semi open roses. The pleated trim I got from Ebay.

The gorge paper is from a Best Creations Ballet Princess pad

Summer Daydream

Hi Everyone! I have another card to share featuring one of the new images from Lili of the Valley. (The new stamps will be available on November 10th.) This image is called Daydream and features the new Summer character. The image comes with the sentiment on used on my card.

I used some patterned papers from My Mind’s Eye’s Stella & Rose paper pad. I stitched my layers and die cut the image with a rectangle nestability die and the sentiment with a petite oval nestability die. I added some pink pearls and a couple white buttons. I finished off my card with these flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts: 25mm pink tone open roses set b, 4mm baby pink closed rose buds, 15mm pink tone open roses set b, and 15mm white open roses.

I colored the image on copic x-press it cardstock with copic markers. I used these markers: BG000, G82, G85, BG01, BG09, R20, R21, R22, E000, E00, E11, E13, R00, R02, E31, E33, E35, E37, E29, colorless blender. (Sorry for the fuzzy photo. It was the best of the lot.)

I used a pink copic marker to fill in the letters in the sentiment that comes with the image.

Sneak Peek - Icy Angel

Oh My!!! The days are clicking away and soon everyone will be able to invite the darling Fairies, Little Girls, Babies, Mice, Puppies, and Kittens, too from the New LOTV Collection into their homes!! And so many of them have the sweetest sentiments with them. They will be available at the LOTV web site on November 10!!!!

I used the Bo Bunny Snowfall Collection DP to showcase the sweet little Icy Angel from the new LOTV collection. She was colored with Promarkers and FLEXMARKERS. I also used alot of Glamour Dust, Stickles, and a touch of WOC's Fine Gold German Glass Glitter before cutting her out with Nesties. For the horizontal I used a wide brown grosgrain topped with light blue striped satin/organza ribbon. The floral treatments are made with Wild Orchid Craft products: Large Curly Wild Rose, Carnations, Aster Daisies, 1" Wild Rose, Tulips, and Decorative Crown Pins all resting on glitter snowflake ornaments. Finally I used Brown Self-Adhesive Pearls to soften the opposite corners.

The sweet sentiment, WINTER WISHES, is also included with this darling image and was cut out with a SB Fancy Tag.

Sneak Peek - Special Delivery

Good Morning :)

This is a card showing off the adorable image called "Special Delivery" from Lili of the Valley's November collection to be released November 10th, and is a card for my little nephew to come :)

The card actually started out as a tent-card, but somehow it ended up as a shaker-card along the way (funny how that happens sometime *lol*)!
