I wanted to share a little project with you with James the Bear -Pile of Presents. I can never get enough of James! haha! I made this tag and then decided to put it on my tree and it looked so cute!
I used my Prismacolor Pencils to color this little guy. The die is Layer Poinsettias from Spellbinders.
The round sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder onto black cardstock and is called Pretty Grungy - Wishes! I even used the Grunge Christmas Postmarks.
I am needing to get back into the swing of regular life. I have lots of crafting to do! haha!
Have a wonderful day!

Good morning crafters, you’ve got me today as our poor Dawny has had a few problems with the horrible weather we’ve been having here in the UK and couldn’t do her post this morning
She’s been without power and of course that has a knock on effect to other things, what a nightmare, I hope you all escaped the storms and the awful floods that we’ve been seeing on the news. Thankfully we seem to miss the worst of it here and just end up with everyone’s recycling all over the place when the bins blow over!
I hope you’ve all had a lovely Christmas and enjoyed a few days off, it’s been a quiet one for us this year and to be honest it’s been really nice, I’m getting too old (and lazy) to do hectic!
This is a Christmas card that I made for my friend’s new baby nephew. It was meant to be my Papertake Weekly card before Christmas and I just never found time to take a picture so I’m happy to be able to share it with you today…
The cute image is called Just Arrived and is one of our new baby stamps which can be used for so many occasions
This one was from my colouring lesson using Distress Inks, our lovely Gretha spent some time teaching me when she came over in November, thank you so much Gretha (although I daren't tell my husband that I’ve gone off my Copics and Promarkers just as I’ve bought them all!!) Gretha also adds a touch of Twinkling H20 on top which adds some subtle sparkle and a bit more depth of colour than you get from the ink …I like the effect very much
I used gorgeous Fancy Pants papers which matched perfectly and made a little tuck away tag with my DooHickey star die and put his name on it
The trees are DooHickey slender fir dies. These Magnolia DooHickey dies are very popular and we have a selection available in the shop now (the shop re-opens on January 6th)
Hope you like it, thanks so much for stopping by everyone and I’ll be back on New Year’s Day with the rest of my top picks from 2013
Our Debbie will be here tomorrow with another lovely card so make sure you pop by if you get a minute

Good morning crafters …Merry Christmas to you all!
I know some of you will have a busy morning getting the turkey ready so if you’ve taken the time to stop by then thank you
I hope Santa brought you all something nice, maybe you had some lovely crafty goodies in your Christmas stocking?
The Design Team have been doing a great job looking after the blog while we are on holiday so I’ve hope you’ve enjoyed seeing the cards they’ve been sharing
I did this last year and everyone enjoyed it so I thought I’d do the same this year. Today and on New Years day I’ll be showing some of my favourite cards from 2013
I’ll do the team in alphabetical order …and that means I’m up first!
I’ve picked this one from my own cards, I don’t often make shaped cards and was pleased with how this turned out
I used one of our Art Pads, they are great if you don’t like stamping and colouring or just don’t have the time
It’s a set of 3 canvases and is on display in our shop, it’s beautiful and the picture doesn’t do it justice
Dawny next and I had to show one her little paper carts
These were hugely popular when we did them at the workshops and are perfect for showing off our lovely patterned papers
Debbie joined us in the Summer and our customers love her cards
This was one of my favourites, a lovely Christmas card using Red Squirrels Pine Tree
She hung him from the aperture so he was actually swinging, how clever!
I was spoiled for choice choosing a card by Elise, she has made a few where she has combined 2 stamps in one scene and this is one of my favourites
She’s used lots of dies and frantage to create a snowy scene
Last for today is our Gretha and I’ve chosen another Christmas card
This stamp is A Christmas Carol and I like the colour scheme that Gretha chose, the purple is unusual and I love it with the kraft card!
That’s it, my first top picks from the past year
I’m handing back over to the Design team now, there will be a card every day throughout the holidays and I’ll be back on New Years day with the rest of my favourites
Have a fantastic Christmas everyone

Good morning lovely crafty buds, tis I, Dawny P here today and I hope that you are all OK.
I've scheduled this post and we are due to have a rather stormy night on Saturday night so I hope we are all in one piece by the time you are reading this!!
So I thought I'd share another card from our last show at Create & Craft and this card is using
I think it is so sweet and as it's one of our best sellers, I'm not the only one :)
I made a fairly simple card ....
... which would work well for a boy or a girl and is quick and easy to put together. I coloured the image using Copics but if you wanted to make the card even quicker, this image is available in our Art Pad 11 - Babies.
The beautimous papers are from Perfect Pair and I also used ....
... a little tag which was in the stamp set we had on the show.
If you didn't manage to bag your a set from the show, there's some fab little tags in the SET 40 - Babies Companion Stamps from our latest launch.
Thanks for stopping by today and I'm off to decorate our tree and house. I feel like I'm the only one on the planet who hasn't done theirs yet, so best get a wriggle on and deck those halls with boughs of holly (and basically lots of tat that I've collected over the years!!).
Have a fabulous day today and enjoy the rest of your weekend and as I won't be back on here until after the big day, have a wonderful Christmas.
Huggiest of hugs to all xxx

Morning bloggers, it’s our last day in the Lili of the Valley office today so we are officially now closed for Christmas
The shop is closed until the New Year, and although the website will remain open for orders over the holidays they won’t be sent out until the week commencing January 6th
Here is our final 12 Days Of Christmas Winner
From our Day Twelve entries it’s number 194
…well done Emma, you have won our 3 polar bear stamps
Because I’m feeling all Christmassy, and so many of you joined in, I’ve drawn one final winner…
it was name 30 and that’s…
Congratulations Rachel, we’ll send you a set of our Christmas greetings
If you both contact email@example.com before lunchtime we will try to get those sent out to you today
This will be my last post for a while, our fabulous Design team are taking over the blog for me and there will still be a new card every day so make sure stop by as normal over the holidays
I will be back on Christmas Day and New Years Day to look back on some of my favourite cards from 2013
Before today’s card just a reminder about the British Craft awards, we would so love to win as it’s voted for by you our lovely customers...
We have customers all over the World and you can vote from wherever you are so here’s a step by step guide;
Firstly you need to go to http://www.britishcraftawards.com/ and select to vote in the craft categories
The first section is the one that seems to be confusing people as you need to select a region, this is not where you live, it is the location of the shop you are voting for. You can really choose any of them from this category but if you don’t have a preference just tick ‘other’ in any of the regions
The next question is craft retailer who went the extra mile. You can vote from the list or you might like to choose ‘other’ and write Lili of the Valley in the box
It does ask for a reason on some of these questions but if you don’t want to write anything you may just put . which will allow you to move onto the next category
Next is best online retailer, it does say UK but you must vote to move on so again it would lovely if you selected ‘other’ and wrote Lili of the Valley in the box
Next is about craft chain stores so you can vote or just opt for ‘don’t visit them’
Now it’s us, we’re nominated for the most inspirational craft blog
Next is favourite paper craft range, again you can vote or select other and write Lili of the Valley in the box if you love our papers and art pads
Now us again, this one is stamp range you couldn’t resist
We would really be over the moon if we could win these 2 awards especially as it’s voted for by our customers
There are then a few questions about the craft products which you like to use, dies etc
favourite card designer is next and our design team member Dawny is up for this award so we’d love you to vote for her (Dawn Phillips)
The final question is about your favourite presenter or demonstrator on craft TV. If you don’t have a preference you can opt for ‘I don’t watch craft TV’ or if you enjoyed our shows and loved watching Dawny create then you can choose other and write Dawn Phillips in the box! If everyone does this we might get our lovely Dawny a couple of awards too!!
That’s it, you just need to put in your name and address (and don’t forget to check the ‘no marketing’ boxes if you prefer not to be added to their mailing lists)
Phew that was a long post today, I think all that is left is for me to say a huge thanks to you all, there are some exciting things in the pipeline for 2014 and it’s great to have the support of our amazing crafty friends and customers
My final card is by Elise, we cheated and added our own greeting just for you …
A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR
FROM US ALL AT LILI OF THE VALLEY
