It’s the last day of July so time to sadly say goodbye to our guest designer for the month Mindy

Here’s my last card, although she’s waving hello I thought it would be a nice ‘See ya around’ card.

This card is special to me, I’ve used some brand new papers that were designed by me!!!!

My favourite Summer bear ….

 

 

Good morning crafters, I hope you all had a great weekend. The Olympics is under way now and although team GB haven’t got off to a brilliant start we did get 2 medals yesterday which was great

Our Lisa, Laila and Lucy went down to watch the cycling, the ladies race actually ended up being more exciting that the mens, but good grief that rain – it was torrential!

Before I get back to all things Christmassy I have a card to show you using the Summer bears that we released last month

They were hugely popular and this one was my favourite from the set – it’s called blooming lovely and comes with it’s own little matching sentiment

 

 

 

 

This is quite a busy card for me, and there were a whole lot of firsts…   first time I’ve used wide ribbon (The Ribbon Girl), first time I’ve made paper flowers (Spellbinders bitty blossom dies), and my first digital papers from Raspberry Road. I’ve had the papers on my computer for a while along with some gorgeous NitWit ones, I always forget I’ve got them because I’ve got so much actual paper but there are some amazing ones. Why don’t you try something different yourselves on your next card? it’s good to come out of your comfort zone occasionally!

A Bit Of Togetherness :)

Hi there peeps, Dawny P here and I hope you all enjoyed the Olympic Opening Ceremony last night. The pyrotechnics at the end were spectacular  I thought - we are sooooo good at that sort of thing :)  We missed the beginning as we were out filling our faces so we only caught the last hour or so, but we will watch it later.

So today it’s my turn to share a card with you and I’ve used one of the fabulous

  Mini Masterpiece sheets 

and this is Mini Masterpiece 9. These sheets are a must have  I think for your Christmas stash because they take all the hard work away, and the quality is fantastic – a really nice weight,  and they are so versatile. 

Here I’ve used Glamour Dust to highlight various pars of the image and also to outline the sweet characters.

Of course, if you want to do the colouring yourselves, this image is also available in rubber and is called

Together At Christmas.

It’s one of the brand new launch and you can find it right here.

Not a drop of DP used here, which is a very rare thing for me.  I just used Cuttlebug embossing folders to make the background :)

The trimmings are all from The Ribbon Girl and I’ve used 15mm Black No 10 Small Check gingham ribbon, some black button twine,  black Jute Mesh Ribbon and White Medium Pom Pom Trim

Some tiny bells, a hand made sentiment and die cut holly leaves finish this off and honestly it is the easiest card ever to put together. You could even use one of the smaller die cuts on the mini masterpiece sheet to make a matching tag and you’d still have 5 image panels left over!!!!

At only £1 a sheet, that’s pretty good value for your dosh me darlins!!!

Christmas Angel

Hello blog friends, I hope you're enjoying all the peeks of the new Christmas stamps. Each is more gorgeous than the last, don't you think? 

The one I used for my card today is called 'Christmas Angel - Oval Bauble' and she is precious!

She's colored with Copics, shaded with some additional colored pencils as well. I find colored pencils helpful when I don't have a Copic color dark enough to get the depth of shading I really want. OR, I love using really sharp pencils for those last few strands of hair, it adds that super fine texture that I just can't get with a Copic.

 A couple of weeks ago on Pinterest (I spend entirely too much time on there!) I saw a link posted for these gorgeous old Christmas sheet music PDF's and I knew it would be perfect for this card! I love the illustrations on them, and the title makes a perfect Christmas sentiment.

Something for the Summer ….

 

 

Today I have a fantastic little project from this month’s guest designer Mindy

To celebrate the sun finally shining here in the UK, Mindy has made this gorgeous little windmill (or pinwheel as they call them in the US) using our Blossom stamp which is also now available pre-coloured on one of the Mini Masterpiece design sheets

You don’t seem to see these colourful windmills as much now, I remember always having one as a child, blowing it and never getting bored of watching it spin round. This is such a great idea for a little project, something fun and easy for the kids to do in the summer holidays!

 

 

 

 

 

I wanted to do something different so I decided to make a pinwheel. They are fun, easy and scream Summer!

Today I have a little sneakie peekie for you and it’s one of the brand new Christmas stamps which are out on 25th – not too long to wait now.

This little sweetie doesn’t have an official name yet but we still think he is darn tooting cute!!!

Mini Masterpieces–available now!

 

 

They’re here!! – we’re delighted to have our LOTV "Mini Masterpieces Die Cut Sheets" available now for you.

There are 24 Design Sheets in this first launch. They include Christmas and everyday designs of your favourite images as well as brand new ones which are not even out as stamps yet!

There are 7 of the same image on each sheet in different sizes allowing you to make bigger and smaller cards as well as projects such as tags, bookmarks and bags. You can decoupage them, run them through your nesties, punch around the edges etc. etc. in fact the list of possibilities is endless they are just so versatile!

To add to this, they have been hand coloured by our super talented Bev Rochester. She has beautifully coloured them in so that they appear as though they have been stamped and expertly coloured in by you! As we have done the work for you, all you need to do is pop them out and make a beautiful card.

They are brilliant quality too. You know how fussy we are as a Company to make sure everything is perfect for you, you certainly won't be disappointed with these!

For stampers, they will also provide a great colour guide and inspiration.

Mini Masterpieces available tonight ….

Thanks to everyone who popped by our stand at the weekend to say hello, it’s always lovely to meet our customers face to face and I hope you all enjoyed the show

We had some amazing feedback about our new Mini Masterpiece die cut sheets, I’ve been making some cards with them and I have to say you’re hard pressed to tell the difference between these and an image you’ve stamped and coloured yourself. We had them hand coloured by Bev and they have printed beautifully, the colours are vibrant and crisp and you’re going to love them!

Of course we all love stamping and colouring and we wouldn’t want you to stop, but for those of you who don’t stamp or simply haven’t always got the time, these are just fabulous. I think we all have the need for a quick card sometimes and you can make cards with these that are as simple or as elaborate as you like in no time at all

They are just £1.00 each and there are 24 available in this first release. There is one image on each A4 sheet repeated 7 times in 3 different sizes so really great value for money – if you weren’t able to attend the show at the weekend they are available to buy on our website from midnight tonight.

Christmas Sneak Peek

I have a Christmas card to share today,

I've never made one this early before & 

I must admit, with the weather as miserable as it at the minute, I didn't mind doing it LOL

It was fun just getting out my all Christmas stash

 that I'd put away and forgotten what I'd got  ~ 

It was like....

....... well, Christmas !!!

I have used an image from the soon to be released Christmas collection from LOTV 

and I'm telling you now, You will NOT be disappointed, they are GORGEOUS

They will be released on July 25th and the DT will be sharing loads of fab sneak peeks with you up until then.

LOVT peek ...

I bet you have seen this cutie already. I think it was all of our favorite when we saw a peek of the new designs.

This one is called “Blooming Lovely” and the teddy stamp comes with a matching sentiment.

 Usually I do like my sentiments on the front of the card but it did not work out, so I tucked the sentiment to the inside on a tag

It's time for Christmas Sneaks!

Hello LOTV friends! It's that time of year when we all have to start thinking about the upcoming holidays, and Lili of the Valley will be releasing amazing, adorable and BEAUTIFUL Christmas stamps! You will have plenty of time to save your pennies, place your orders and get to creating gorgeous handmade Christmas cards for the people you care about. 

Can you tell I'm excited? I am VERY excited, I love Christmas, and LOTV paired with Christmas, well-- it just doesn't get any better IMO. 

Ok, so here's my first peek for you all.

How cute is this little guy all tucked up in his cozy bed? He's surrounded by his toys, he's got his stocking filled up and I can practically see the visions of sugarplums dancing in his head, can't you? I love his little stocking cap, just darling...

I've colored this image with my Copics, I chose colors to coordinate with the Basic Grey Nordic Holiday papers. I hope to see more of these Nordic patterns this season, I still love 'em!

3 mini cards …

 

 

Good morning everyone,  we’re busy today getting ready for the Summer Crafting show at Doncaster race course this weekend.

If you’re going to the show then make sure you pop along to see us.  We have 2 stands this year, C21 is where you’ll find all our stamps and P25 is the die cut stand where we’ll be launching the new mini master piece sheets that I told you about yesterday.

Today’s card is a little set of 3,  I’ve used present trio from the new Summer bears collection and also the incredibly useful sentiment tags to make these cute little mini cards

 

 

The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts which are now available to buy in our Leeds showroom

The crystals, lace and also the button twine are from The Ribbon girl, I love this button twine I think it looks so cute tied in between the flowers
