It’s sunny again!

Good morning, I hope you’re all well today.

I’ve got a few days off work and had planned to do allsorts around the house, I've ended up doing nothing but potter about in the garden and play with my dog! We so rarely get weather like this in the UK I feel I ought to be outside and make the most of it.

I was hoping to fit in some crafting while I’ve got the house to myself but my craft room is in the attic and it’s like a furnace up there so I’ve had to put that on hold which is a shame. The attic is great but not so good in the summer, I think I might have to invest in a a little air conditioning unit for up there.

This is a card I made for our showroom and I thought it was a bright and cheery one to share with you today.
The image is Milly flower power. It was coloured beautifully by June but did prove a bit of a challenge for me because it’s not colours I would normally choose.

Millie Flower Power Blog May 12

Supplies;
Core’dinations card
Doohickey doily die
Memory Box flower die
Distress stickles
Ribbon and pearls from The Ribbon Girl
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
The sentiment if from our Set 8 - happy circular sentiments
Sorry, the patterned paper was from my stash and I don’t know the make if it, it was a lucky match!
Quick edit - the striped paper is Doodlebug (thanks Squirrel!)

That’s it from me for today, I’m going to try and do a few chores before the sun comes out and I get lazy again!
Make sure you keep stopping by, we’re planning some fantastic giveaways to celebrate the Jubilee weekend so don’t miss out!

PS. I’d love it if you’d have a little peek at my own blog which you can find here

Dainty Dancing

Hello dear friends,

today it´s my turn to show you a little something from me ... I´ve decided to make a gift box for a little princess, which I´ve first colored with acrylic paint in pink and after that I´ve spotted it with the color white. Then I covered the lid with my favourite paper Bittersweet from Basic Grey and used the sweet image Dainty Dancing from Lili of the ValleyThe sentiments are from the Vintage Sentimens - Just To Say and Simply Sophisticated collection, which you also can find at the shop of Lili of the Valley, as well as the frame from the Cute as a Button collection, in which I´ve stamped the words.

Have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by today.

Lots of hugs

A gift idea for a footie lover

Good morning Fleur here,
YAY, It's the weekend, hope you are having the lovely weather we've had.

I have a quick card & gift idea to share today.

First up is the card, and I'm sure you'll all agree these are not my normal colours
but I feel they suit the image well.

I have made a milk carton for some treats & a small bookmark.
I have laminated the bookmark to protect it a bit.

I have used:
LOTV ~ Super Striker, (I've just noticed he's out of stock, but keep checking back)
You really must check these sentiments out,
they are fantastic value for money and cover all occasions!

The template for the milk carton can be found here
I printed of Nitwit ~ Kickin' it and then printed the template onto the other side.
I searched high & low for some chocolate footballs, but couldn't find them so I used Jelly Beans instead.

For the book mark, I used classic & scallop oval nesties and then laminated it.
I then secured a ribbon with an eyelet ~ SIMPLE!

Thanks for looking & Enjoy the rest of the weekend

You're Cool Beans!

Hello friends! I've got a little project using one of my most favorite LOTV stamps to share today. I needed a little gift set for a good friend who loves coffee almost as much as I do, so I decided to make up this cute little K-cup gift box with a matching card.

I went with a monochromatic color scheme using many different shades of browns and creams, just like a creamy hot cup of good coffee! I colored the little cuties from 'Coffee Break' with my Copics and a little colored pencil for additional shading and detail.

I stamped my own background papers so I could coordinate everything the way I wanted. The little K-cup gift caddy is from a tutorial I found on The Cat's Pajamas web site.

I added little circle seals to the tops of each K-cup that says 'You're cool beans!' How cute is that! I think my friend will get a chuckle out of it, and enjoy my favorite coffee as well.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Stamps: LOTV 'Coffee Break', Waltzingmouse Stamps, Impression Obsession & Papertrey Ink (for background papers), Gina K (sentiments)
Ink: Memento, Distress, Adirondack, Perfect Match
Papers: Hammermill (stamped imaged, Papertrey Ink, Bazzill
Tools & Accessories: PTI ribbon/button, SU wide striped ribbon, Copics, colored pencils, Spica pens, Souffle pens, baker's twine, Cheery Lynn doily die, Nestabilities, Spellbinders Fancy Labels

We hope you like them, new cards will be added all the time as well as all the DT work from each new release.

On to today’s card, this is made with one of our die cut toppers. These are fabulous if you need to make a quick card, I love stamping and colouring but just don't always have the time.

This was a last minute anniversary card that I'd forgotten to make so I dug out the love is in the air sheet and used the die cut version of our popular bubble bath stamp.

At only £1.00 a sheet for 6 images they are great value, there are 36 sheets to choose from and you can see the full range on our website here

Lili of the Valley die cut May 2012

The card is core'dinations with a square of Magnolia patterned paper, the lace is from The Ribbon Girl

May 16 006

The little wooden buttons were bought at the NEC and the flowers were in my stash, they are cream so I inked them with a bit of vintage photo distress ink.

I made a little tag using a doohickey die and stamped a sentiment on it from the Lili of the Valley love sentiments sheet.

May 16 007

I hope you like my card today, don’t forget to check out the galleries and I’d also love for you to visit my blog here

Bowl of Strawberries

Hello blog friends! It's the start of a new week, and with the temperatures around here, feeling a bit like summer! In a few days we could be expecting temperatures a bit too warm for my tastes, lol. I'll take the warmer days over the bitter cold anytime though!

With summer fast approaching, I felt like making a bright summery card, with Strawberries of course. I love strawberries, next to watermelon they are my favorite fruit for eating, but tops for coloring. This charming bowl of berries is something new for LOTV, but I really hope to see more. They really are fun.

I colored them with my Copics, and to highlight the seeds instead of leaving them white (too difficult!) I went back with a Souffle pen. Not exactly realistic looking, but kind of fun and whimsical.

The papers are a digital collection, again from Raspberry Road Designs, called Flour Sack. Lots of lovely vintage, remind-me-of-Grandma's apron and dishtowel patterns. Perfect for this strawberry bowl image!
The sentiment is from the new clear set 'Vintage Labels- Occasions'. Love these! I cut it out with my scissors, then added a border in a red Copic. The look of a matted layer, without the work.

Hope you like it, thanks for visiting!

Stamps: Lili of the Valley 'Strawberries' and 'Vintage Labels- Occasions'
Papers: Digital papers from Raspberry Road Designs printed on Hammermill
Tools & Accessories: polka dot ribbon, button, ball-head pins, Martha Stewart corner punch, Copics, Souffle pen, Spica pens, sewing machine, Spellbinders Labels die
