Let's Party!
This little guy is celebrating bring in 2013!
The stamp is called "Let's Party". I colored it with distress inks and the papers are from the gorgeous Nitwits pad called "Bonnets and Bowties". I was excited to use one of my new distress ink colors, Picked Raspberries, for the package. I'm glad to see a few brighter shades coming out. They work perfectly with this paper.
Be safe everyone on New Year's Eve!

Winter Flurries
A little about how I made the card... I cut some snowy drift shapes from sticky notes freehand and used them to mask off areas of snow drifts. I carefully sponged white pigment ink to create the highlights, and the dark paper showing through became the shadows of the snow. Totally opposite from what you would do on white paper.
Next I stamped a lot of pretty snowflakes in the same white pigment ink (this is the quick drying kind like Fresh Inks from Impress Stamps, A|Muse Studios, Papertrey Ink, etc. etc.). Then stamped and embossed the gorgeous swirly tree.
The banner was made from a long strip of double sided pattern paper, notched on the ends with a square punch and scored/folded in two places. The sentiments are from 'set 26- Simply Spohisticated'.
And there you have it, a beautiful scenic Christmas card! Hope you like it, have a great day!
Supplies: White embossing powder, white pigment ink, sponge dauber, white acrylic paint, old toothbrush, satin ribbon, baker's twine, silver bell charm, 1" square punch, Scor Pal

Just For You :)
Hi there sweet peeps – Dawny P here and today I have a Christmas card to share with you.

And this is the result of my first attempt with them :)
The image is

A Christmas exploding box …
Good morning bloggers, I hope you all had a lovely weekend and got all your Christmas shopping done. I’ve done most of mine on the internet this year, I’m getting grumpier by the year …I used to really enjoy it but I just can’t face the shops now when they’re busy and I always seem to end up wanting to commit a murder!
Onto todays post, if some of you have seen this before I apologise but I couldn’t resist putting it on again for our new visitors
Our Kathy made this gorgeous exploding box using the cute Musical Christmas stamp. You can get this stamp at the moment in our Winter Sale for just £3.00 (while stocks last)
There is a tutorial that Kathy kindly put together for us for making one of these boxes on our website. It’s also in the labels down the right hand side of this page under ‘exploding box’
They are a bit time consuming but the end result is just so impressive that if you have the time and patience it’s definitely worth having a go

Here's the outside, all closed up in a pretty package
…and when you slide off the top, voila! …a little holiday scene and floating snowflakes pop out at you
The little die cut pine trees are decorated with gold tinsel and red pearls
The poinsettias are cut from vellum and sponged with a bit of color before assembling
The snowflakes are frosted with German glass glitter and attached to thin strips of acetate

Wouldn’t this be perfect to send to a very special person this Christmas!
Thanks for looking, see you tomorrow
