Together Forever

Good afternoon peeps, I have stopped stopped by to share this adorable image with you, arent we all spoiled with these fabulous stamps from Lili of the Valley?

This stamp is called Together Forever and is so versatile for many occassions. I have coloured with my copics, used BG Urban Prairie papers, Martha Stewart punch and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

A QUICK GET WELL CARD

 

I can see your brain cells working and wondering what this card is doing on the Lili of the Valley Ideas to Inspire Blog, I assure you it does belong here!!!

This is the quickest card I have ever made about 20 minutes in all, but I thought it was perfect to showcase one of the LOTV Additions Corner Stamps and New sentiments.  I don’t know about you but I think this stylish corner really adds the finishing touch to an otherwise very plain card. 

I have punched around the edge of a 5.1/4” square of black card with Martha Stewart Round the Corner Punch and added pearls to the centre of each of the flowers and stick to front of a 5.1/2” sq Card Blank then stamped the corner stamp 4 times onto a square of white card added a Black Butterfly cut with a Marianne designs Butterfly Die and finally added the sentiment.

Just a quick hello and thank you

Good morning everyone, this is a very quick post to say hello and Thank You to all the fabulous people who visited our stand at the NEC this weekend.   The show was a fantastic success for us and you all seemed to love the new LOTV Additions Range, especially the Ribbon Stamps and the Post Card, we sold out of them both, twice.  The new Sentiments were also a big hit. 

We saw lots of familiar Lili of the Valley Lovers, and made lots of new converts.  Richard Lucy, Lisa Laila, Bev, Dawny P and myself  were all completely exhausted by the end of Sunday but it was well worth it.  Thank you all once again.

Fairy Exploding Box: The Tutorial

Hello fellow LOTV fans! A couple of weeks ago, I created an exploding box featuring the adorable 'Fairy Friends' on my blog. I first learned how to make these gorgeous boxes from Elaine's Magic Box blog. I was so amazed at these little treasures I had to try my own version using some of her techniques. 

The first one I made was ok, but I did learn some things along the way, and I think this one is a bit of an improvement!

For those of you who may not know what an exploding box is, the following picture shows it all folded up, just like a regular gift box.

It's simply decorated with pretty papers and a paper daisy on top, but when you pull the lid off...
TA-DAH!

A beautiful miniature magical world unfolds! I just love these to bits, I plan on making many of these for very special people in my life and special occasions. These do take a bit of time, but the result is well worth it, I promise you. Imagine the look on a little girl's face if she received this for her birthday. Or a big girl, lol. I know I would be!
Anyway, the instructions on how I created this box are pretty long, so I opted to make it a downloadable PDF. You can print it out, or view it on your computer.

Just click on 'File' in the top left of the page that opens up and select 'Download' to save a copy of the PDF to your computer. You can then view it in Adobe Reader and print it out.
The tutorial will be added to the Lili of the Valley web site soon as well.

Sprinkled with Sugar!

 

It’s Lili of the Valley challenge day today and this week our challenge is Punch It.  Nice and easy and just what I needed to get a quick card done.

I have used Sprinkled with Sugar for today’s card, along with one of the new Clear Additions sentiments (this particular set sold out on the first day at Harrogate and methinks they will not hang about at the NEC either so if you are going, make the LOTV stall your first port of call ladies).

Teddy Bears Picnic and a mini candy

I hope this works because I am not back home till Sunday night (I’m too busy having fun at Harrogate lol).  Today I thought I would show how well the Clear Additions Postcard stamp works with cutie images.

I coloured Teddy Bears Picnic with copics and pencils.  The paper is K & Co (from Lili of the Valley).  The sentiment is also from the Clear Additions.  I love how the postcard (stamped on pale aqua card with Walnut Stain distress ink) works so well with the image and papers.

Umbrella Bunny

Happy Friday!  Here’s a card I made for thes Lili of the Valley challenge.  I am off to Harrogate in the morning for the GNPE show, demonstrating for Lili of the Valley along with the lovely Jacqui.  If you’re going and plan on getting the new Clear Additions stamps I would strongly recommend you stop at the LOTV stand first because I am sure there is going to be a stampede for them!  I have used one of the new Clear Additions stamps for the sentiment on this card.  LOVE these stamps soooo much.

I have use Umbrella Bunny and coloured it with Promarkers and Prisma Pencils.  I used Ice Grey 1,2,3 and Sunkissed Pink for the bunny, Sky Blue, Arctic Blue, Pastel Blue, Walnut and Ivory for the brolly.  I added some deeper shadows with a black pencil.

Blowing Bubbles

I just adore baby elephants and Blowing Bubbles has to be my favourite.   The papers are K & Co, from one of the packs that Lili of the Valley will be selling at upcoming shows.  The tags and sentiments are the new Clear Additions which will also be on sale at Harrogate and NEC before going on the website in April (if they can keep them in stock long enough – methinks these are going whizz straight into orbit lol)

Extended LOTV Colouring Masterclass

Wild Orchid Challenge

Hi there, today I have a card using one of the newly released Lili of the Valley images – Gift Wrapped.  Sooo sweet.  I have also used those gorgeous K & Co papers again, these are from the Wedding pack that will be on sale on the LOTV stand at forthcoming shows.  The sentiment is from the Clear Additions that will be on sale at the shows and on the website in April.

The image has been coloured with promarkers (love the blues and the yellows, so pretty and not at all bright and garish).  I deepened the shading with Prisma Pencils.

Now for something completely different

 

Today I would like to show you something completely different, the sharp eyed amongst you will have noticed  Bev and I using some delicious Corner, Ribbon, Tag and Greetings plus a couple of Postcard stamps, these stamps come from the new range of Clear (Polymer) stamps from Lili of the Valley.   These new stamps are called LOTV Additions, and what a fabulous addition they are, so different from what you are used to from Lili of the Valley but a perfect compliment to the Cute Stamps.  They will be making their debut at Horrogate this coming weekend and if stocks last should be available at NEC and Ally Pally, they will,  hopefully, be on the website from early April.

 

This card was made using a beautiful Rose Corner Stamp and a Stamp from an A5 Sheet of new Sentiments.  The Lace and Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the papers are from   Prima Sparkling Spring Collection.

 

 

Here is the Corner Stamp, by turning and stamping the corner  ninety degrees I have made a square to frame the sentiment.

 

 

Hope to have a few more cards using these stamps during the week.

Leap Frog and Champion Ted

  I’ve two Lili of the Valley cards today, both from the new Animals release.  First up is Leap Frog – gotta love these bunnies.

The papers on both cards are K&Co, and are from the packs that Lili of the Valley will be selling at shows (first one on Saturday at Harrogate).  The sentiment is from the new Clear Additions stamps that will also be at Harrogate on Saturday.  If you are planning on going firstly get to the LOTV stand first as these stamps are not going to hang around for long and second, please stop by and say hello.  My mate Jacqui is coming up from Kent for the weekend as she has heard so many fab things about the Harrogate show – all of them true!

Next up is Champion Ted – he is just perfect for those difficult male cards.  What do you think of the postcard stamp?  I love it!  It’s another of the new Clear Additions stamps – this is going to be one of my most used stamps I think.  The sentiment again is from the Clear Additions range.

This stamp is called 'Hello Cupcake' and I think she is just soooooooooo pretty. The wonderful sentiment is from the A5 Stamp sheets which you can look at here. I have teamed up with the wonderful new papers from K & Co (Julieanne Speciality Papers) ...... they are proving very popular - see Claudia's card on the post below .... just beautiful.

Happy Birthday

Hello…welcome!

I have had this cute teddy bear for quite a long time stamped out. This image is sweet as it can be… i just did not find the right paper for it. Don’t get me wrong in my mind i had seen it with bright happy colors, the kinds you choose for Spring and Summer, but when i saw by accident this lovely 6x6 K&Company “Julianne” i mean how not to use the two together… what a perfect match!

So i made it “vintage” i distressed all the layers, corrugated some Kraft cardstock to make my corner piece and added of course crochet lace

Oh my goodness!!! Have you ever seen such cute little animal images as we see in the latest release at LOTV?!?! Every single one of them is absolutely precious and can be used for so many occasions and events!!!



This is the card I made for the LOTV Challenge this week and this little Gift Wrapped bunny is so delightful and fun to play with! Of course when you have a peek at ALL of them, you will say the same thing about every single one of them!
