Button it!

That’s this week’s Lili of the Valley Challenge – to use buttons on your card.  I think Aeroplane is one of my fave boys stamps from Lili of the Valley, that aeroplane is nearly as big as him bless.

I made this card for Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine on behalf of Lili of the Valley a while back so I can’t remember which Promarkers and Flexmarkers I used.    The fab papers are from the Away we go kit from Nitwit Collections.  It’s just perfect for little lads cards and the colours are so yummy.  The raffia ribbon and button is from Wild Orchid Crafts

I made the circular frame by die cutting two different sized circle dies at once, quite like the effect it has given.  The sentiment is computer generated.

warmest wishes

Hi Everyone!  I have a card to share using the adorable Milly Cuddle Time image from Lili of the Valley.  Milly is so cute and I just love her little pets!

I stamped the image with tuxedo black memento ink on copic x-press it cardstock and colored her with copic markers.  I  used some patterned papers from the Lime Twist: Life of the Party paper pad from My Mind’s Eye  and a sentiment from the A5 Verses stamp set..  More details about the card including marker colors on my blog post here.

Have a wonderful weekend!

The Bo Bunny paper has been cut so all the snowflakes in the upper right corner and bottom left corner are showing. Stampin up Snowflakes and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts to finish off the card.
Stamps: Lili of the Valley “Millie winter Window
Sentiment: Lili of the Valley Christmas Sentiment
Dies: Square with large square scallops can be found in the UK through Sir Stampalot or in the Netherlands through Cute Stamps and Cards
Cardstock colors and Satin ribbon is by Stampin up but retired now.. iam bummed I loved this one a lot.

Lili of the Valley Challenge

We have a new challenge posted today on Lili of the Valley Challenge our theme this week is “Button It “ and Lili of the Valley have donated a £15 voucher so do hope you can come and join us.

I was discussing using Distress Inks for colouring with a couple of friends at the weekend and I realised how much I had missed using them since I started to colour with Markers, so yesterday I got my DI’s out and had a go, it was not as easy as I thought to pick up again think I need a bit more practise, but it was really enjoyable to have a paintbrush in my hands again.

If you would like more info on how I made this card and the Distress Ink Colours used to colour the image please pop over  to my blog here

Have a lovely day

Wishing you a Musical Christmas

I know at the best of times my spelling is bad, but if there are a large number of typos on here you can blame it on Rosie, she is sitting on my lap and keeps knocking my hand and arm as she wants a stroke, she is very persistent .  Today I have a Musical card for you.

By the amount of you who bought this Lili of the Valley “Musical Christmas” stamp at the weekend you love it as much as I do.  Not using much colour on the image I thought I was free to add lots of  different colour glitter, this is quite unusual for me as I normal stick to Crystal Glamour Dust.  The backing papers are from Nitwits Collections .  I popped a  Lili of the Valley Grunge Musical stamp stamped onto white card behind the image, the Sentiment is also from Lili of the Valley.  This is a card I made for this months issue of Quick Cards Made Easy and as we have to make them months in advance I cannot remember the copics I used.  I also forgot to take a close up of the coloured image.

Olde World Musical Christmas

Happy Tuesday to each of you! We are so happy that you have dropped by and hope you will come back often!

This is the card that I made for the current Wild Orchid Challenge where the theme is to Make It Sparkle With Stars. I have used the absolutely darling Musical Christmas from the Latest Release of LOTV Stamps. The image was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics and Promarkers and the DP is from Kaisercraft December 25th. To keep the olde world look I used the following embellishments from Wild Orchid Crafts: Gold German Glass Glitter, 1" Cream Organza Ribbon, 35mm Trellis Rose and 25mm Open Roses, Gold Double End Holly Berries, and Gold Filigree Metal Corners.

On the inside I used the sweet sentiment from the LOTV Set 10-A5 Verses. The glittery wooden stars are from the Christmas Wooden Shape Embellishment Set at WOC.

Again, thanks for your visit! Hugs from Jacque!

Quick Flick Monday

Hellooo, did you all have a good weekend?  I spent yesterday afternoon shooting this week’s Quick Flick and what a disaster.  On the 3rd take I was almost finished and went and knocked the camera over – glitter and glue everywhere lol.  I took to giggling and it took me ages to calm down enough to get this (the 4th take) in the can – oooh don’t I sound all Hollywood … in ya dreams Bev!

So this week’s video is one that has been requested by so many of you.  How do I get the glitter on the stamped images to be so sparkly.  It’s really easy to do and is so quick that I threw in a bit of Liquid Applique how to as well.  Hope it helps :)
