Weekly Candy Draw

Happy Sunday everyone! I’m back with this week’s Lili of the Valley candy. This prize is a £10 voucher to spend in the store.

Entry is open until Wednesday 1st June.  All we ask is that you put our Ideas to Inspire Blog Banner on your blog in your side bar with a link back to us - then leave your details in Inlinkz below and a winner will be chosen at random next Wednesday.

Good luck!

Cheers Everyone.......

Another of the 'Here come the Boys' images I think is fantastic for Fathers' Day

This little chap is called Cheers Bear and is coloured in the usual Copics. I've done and off center gate fold card and punched the corners - I've seen this on the amazingly talented Anita's blog and think it finished the corners so perfectly.
The stars are cut with a DieNamics die, the swirls with Magnolia and the sentiment is one of the Lili of the Valley sentiments ones.

I've put a pocket on the inside of the card which can hold a tag and/or gift token and used one of the   Additions Bows to finish off the top of the pocket. I did mean to put a pearl or diamonte into the center of the bow, but sadly, memory not being what it used to..........

Hope you've all had a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.......

Little Karate Kid IS a Star!!!!

I would like to share with you a card that is perhaps one of the most difficult I have ever made although for many of you, you will think that it is easy as can be!!!! It is always so very difficult for me to make masculine cards but the Latest Release at LOTV-One for the Boys makes it so much easier AND so much fun! The base and all matting is Bazzill and the DP is all from the MME Lime Twist-Fly A Kite Collection. Gosh such bright and vivid colors are so fun!!! All of the background panels are machine stitched. The cute, cute, cute image I used is LOTV Karate Kid from the Latest Collection of One for the Boys!!! This cutie was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics. This little green belt darlin' was emphasized in the Karate Belt tie with a horizontal of emerald green satin. For additional embellishments I used a couple of star buttons and the sentiment is computer generated with Chinese Takeaway font and placed on double Concentric Stars Nesties. The image was cut with Square Nesties and turned on its end. And SHUCKS in the picture his face looks smudged and dirty but I can't see it at all in real life...lol...Cameras and computers drive me NUTZ!!!!!

Thanks for dropping by and we would love to see you here at Ideas for Inspiration often! Enjoy your day!! Hugs from Jacque!

Trying a bit of Clean and Simple

WoooHoo!!!! my new camera arrived late yesterday afternoon so I am back in Business, as I was saying yesterday I have been trying my hand at clean and simple not sure yet whether I am cut out for this style, I really admire all you girls who produce such stunning cards without the use of embellishments and backing papers, I have a long way to go I am afraid.

Here are my first 3 efforts all using Lili of the Valley Images. I know they need refining.

The Copics used to Colour my Lili of the Valley “No 7  Bear

E35, E31, E53, E50.

I will show you another couple of Clean and simply cards , I am very brave as these should really go straight in the bin but I would really appreciate your comments on where I can improve on this style any criticism and advice would be appreciated as I would really like to conquer this style.  Both cards have been made using Lili of the Valley Stamps.

Martha Stewart Border Punch and Fleur De Lys Spellbinder have been distressed with Distress Ink “Forest Moss” The Copics used on Lili of the Valley Garden of Wishesare:

Flesh: E21, E00, E000, R20

Hair, E71, E70, E40

Dress & Wings : B04, B02, B00, B0000, Goo, G0000

and finally my first effort

This one was made using flowers and swirls from the Lili of the Valley Folk Flowers A5 Sheet from  Clear Additions Collection.  I know I have been a bit heavy handed with the Distress Ink on this one, (I told you it should of gone in the Bin).

I did promise I would do a few tutorials on colouring hair, folds and pleats I will make a start today now I have my camera.

Hope you have a good day

A Fantastic Weekend

Well our first Lili of the Valley Masterclass was held at Ashford this weekend, and was an outstanding success, the  resulting coloured images everyone produced were testiment to how hard we worked them all.  I think everyone went home happy and with lots of confidence that they would be able to colour any image.  We had a great group of people on both days and at the end of each day I saw lots of e-mail address being exchanged  so as well as learning new colouring techniques lots of new friendships were formed.  Thank you everyone who attend on Saturday and Sunday we were a brilliant bunch.

Here are a few Pictures that were taken on Saturday, I dropped my camera Saturday evening while trying to photograph a card (I killed it I am afraid), so todays Piccies are just from Saturday during the week we will be showing pictures from Sunday taken by Laila.  Once we have all the photos we will upload them to the Lil of the Valley facebook page.

All in a mornings work

This was just the first session on Saturday Morning, in the afternoon we coloured “Love Grows” and the last session everyone had the choice of colouring Rosie Posy of making a stunning card designed by Bev.  I will not show you the card here as I am sure the girls will be posting there finished creation on their blogs

Happy Day from the Bouquet Fairy!!!

Happy day to everyone! I hope you have had a wonderful weekend and are prepared for an even better week!

I would like to show you a peek at a card I made for the Wild Orchid Challenge this week and hope it will inspire you to use so many of the darling LOTV stamps.

I used Bazzill for the base and all double matting and all background panels are machine stitched. The DP is from The Paper Studio's Mirabelle paper kit. I just love the multi-colored Toile de Jouy paper!! The darling image I used is LOTV Fairies-Bouquet which I stamped on XPress It Blending Card and colored with Copics, adding MS Florentine Gold glitter to her crown, Prisma Glitter to her wings, and Stickles and Liquid Pearls to the bouquet. She was cut out with triple Nesties and the image panel was dry embossed with the Nesties. For the vertical I used LOTV Clear Additions-Vintage Backgrounds heat embossed with Adirondack Cranberry EP onto a faint gingham check from the DP collection. For the right corners I used WOC Gold Filigree Corners and embellished them with WOC Self-Adhesive Pearls. I also added the same pearls to soften other corners and to give some definition to the left side of the card. For the horizontal I used an olive organza ribbon with a Webster's Pages Sparkler added to the bow. All of the floral treatment is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

For the first panel on the inside I used more of the heat embossed gingham paper and more olive organza ribbon and bows for the horizontal. I also heat embossed the lovely LOTV sentiment from the LOTV Set 10 - A5 Verses. For the second panel I used a pre-cut floral escutcheon shape topped by dry embossed triple round Nesties for the jotting spot. For a touch of dimension I also added additional WOC Self-Adhesive Pearls as well as another organza bow.

Thank you so much for dropping by LOTV Ideas to Inspire and we hope you will come by often!! We would love to have you check out all of the amazing creations of the DT. Have a marvelous week and until tomorrow I send big hugs!! Jacque
