Lili of the Valley Challenge – New Beginnings and a sneak peek

For our last challenge of 2010 on Lili of the Valley Challenge we have a theme to follow – new beginnings.  This could be a new baby, new job, new school, new life together – wedding or engagement or any new event, new technique or even any new crafty stash.  I have gone with the wedding theme, new stamp, new Doo Hickey dies and a new technique (distressing the seam binding)

The sentiment on the tag is computer generated.

The pearls, guipure lace and flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I used 15mm roses, 4mm rose buds, 25mm tea rose, 20mm rose

I cut out a heart, punched two holes in so it looked like a button then coated with Distress Crackle Paint, then once dry heat embossed with UTEE to give a high shine.  I distressed the seam binding which will soon be available at The Ribbon Girl.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!!! Can't you hear me singing for you? It's a really good thing you can't hear it to tell you the truth. haha!

I am so excited to see what the new year brings with Lili of the Valley!  Just hang tight and you are going to be amazed at the sweet things to come. The stamps just get better and better all the time!

For this Christmas Day, I have made a card that is for all of you!  I combined 5 Lili of the Valley Stamps to create an album card.

This is the inside, so that you can see the way it folds out:

This is the front of the card using "Away in a Manger". When all folded up, it ties on the side.
Now for some closeups of the individual panels.  For this middle one I combined "Angel Gabriel" and "Mary and Joseph".

 Here is "Three Wee Kings"
 Here is "Little Shepherd Boy"
Another view of the fold.

Thank you for stopping by and....................

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!

Hugs,

Dena

Sneak peek - Teddy Romeo

Here's a wee sneak peek at one of the new stamps coming out in January. Isn't he a cutie! He comes with his own wee sentiment too.

I've coloured the image with Copics and Promarkers and matted it onto rectangle nesties.

The backing paper is from the Prima set 'Annalee' and the cs is Coredinations from the chocolate box collection. The border is punched with a deep edge Martha Stewart punch, flowers are a selection from my stash. The pearls are from the Hobby House.

I hope you all have a very Happy Christmas and New Year and are a lot better prepared than I am at the minute. LOL

Sneak Peek for January Release!

Hello everyone! How are the Christmas preparations coming along?

Today I just had to show you a sneak preview of the most adorable image!!!!!!! This one is called Love Grows and is one of the stamps that comes with the FREE sentiment from Lili of the Valley.

For my card today I colored the images with copics (I know shock, horror).  The papers are Bo Bunny and I added the paper roses, aster daisies and rosebuds, from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The guipure lace is also from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I cut the heart shape and frame from my nesties.

These images will be available early in January so stay posted to this site for more information and sneak peeks from the Design Team.

Have a terrific day!

Gift Card Purse

Hi ladies, hope you had a wonderful day! I will have more photos up today, but i hope to have an idea for you if you need a last minute gift for one of your friends.

The other day i was at Starbucks and thought about my friend, who’s really busy getting her stuff done before the holidays and i know she loves Starbucks. Who can not use a little boost while shopping and staying in line :-)

So here is my little card purse – i used Lili of the Valley’s cute teddy “Jenny bear – all shopped outwith it.

Claudia_Rosa_Purse1

Now, as you know there are different ways to keep things like this closed.. Velcro or the tiny magnets. I did no have any magnets and i do not really like the look of Velcro. My flap holds shut with the rather stiff felt ribbon, i placed just so it would overlap the circle a little bit.

Claudia_Rosa_Purse2

simple inside… i could have decorated here even more… at some point i wanted to add some scallops to the opening. I just ran out of crafting time :-)

Claudia_Rosa_Purse3

Alright.. here is an other shot :-) DT will keep showing images with the very new January 2011 stamp release and i can tell you… they are SUUUUPER cute. You will love them 20!!! new stamps!

Claudia_Rosa_Purse4

Papers: Stampin up Design Paper
Other: Spellbinders dies, Stampin up Top Note die
Sentiments: Magnolia (inside) and Whimsy Postmark stamp.
How to make the purse, can be found here, i extended the size to i believe 8 inches so i would be able to use a bigger focal point image.

Sneak Peek - Candle Jar

Garden Of Wishes

Let Your Light Shine Through

Gwenn

Candlelight/Dare To Dream

Hi everyone, I thought you might like to see a card and gift I made for my friend's birthday using some of the new stamps to be released in January. Aren't these fairies just sooo gorgeous? As soon as I saw these beauties I knew I wanted to colour them blue with sparkly wings. With each fairy I cut the first image with a Nestie label. The second image was then cut out completely and 3D'd on top with foam pads. Check out the rest of the LOTV DT blogs to see more sneak peeks.

Take care, stay warm and have a great Christmas.

Hugs Christine x

Sneak Peek...Dandelion Clock

Here is an Easel Card Calendar that I have created using one of the new release coming in January. The image is called Dandelion Clock, and  I have coloured her with Copics and added some chalk ink to soften the background.
 And from the side...
These new images are amazing and I just know how much you are all going to love them. Some of them even come with sentiments. From 2011 there is going to be a small increase in the price of these stamps from £3.75 to £4 each, although I think you will all agree this still offers amazing value for such gorgeous images.

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to come back tomorrow to see another sneak peek...

Sneak Peek... 'I Do'

Hello everyone, I've got a peek at one of the new stamps coming out in January called ' I Do'. I don't have a single wedding stamp, so when I saw this one, I nearly melted. How darling is this little couple?!
I wanted a simple and elegant card to frame this beautiful image. I colored them with Copics, and added a tiny bit of glitter along the edges of her veil.

I thought about using one of those glamorous Prima pearl flourishes to adorn the card, but I didn't have a plain white one. So I created my own by embossing a flourish stamp and tracing it with a white Viva Pearl pen. I added a few tiny rhinestones for a little more sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by, keep checking back for more peeks at the new stamps next week!

~Katarina~
