Quick & Easy :)

Hi peeps, Dawny P  here and I thought I’d share a nice quick and easy card with you today.

This one uses a cute square from the ever so cute Christmas Is Coming set – you can see it here – so there is no colouring involved. And as there are 20 in a pack, they aren’t just pretty, they are very economical as well.

We like that :)

I used some Wild Orchid Crafts blooms and leaves,  a couple of  Tilda Lace die cut strips, Pink Petticoat papers and some bits of ribbon from my stash.

It was super quick to make but doesn’t look it which is perfect for Christmas which will soon be here :)

Blue Haze – Another Garden Fairy

I thought I would share another Garden Fairy card with you, this one is for this weeks Lili of the Valley Challenge and it’s a nice easy sketch so I hope you will join in.

This fairy is called Blue Haze. 

I have used the very glittery MME Lost and Found Market Street papers, love them!  In keeping with the glittery paper I have blinged her wings.  I had quite a few emails asking what glitter I use on the wings – I use Glamour Dust and adhere it to the image with a Quickie Glue Pen.

The sentiment is from the Dreamy Days circular sentiments from Lili of the valley.

Garden Fairy cute squares

Hi!
Aren't those cards by Bev and Jacqui to die for! I can't wait for the stamps to be available but fortunately the cute squares are in the shop at the minute, so I thought I'd add a card today where I've used one of them.

I've used some Prima papers for the backgrounds from the 'Annalee' and 'Fairy Flora' collections. The corner is a die from Marianne designs.
The flowers are punched with a Nellie's choice punch and emboss set. I've used dp's and vellum. The vellum is painted with crystal stickles which has the effect of curling it - so no shaping involved. :)

Garden Fairies – Candlelight

Jacqui did this gorgeous card today using “Candlelight” - one of the soon to be released Garden Fairies by Molly Harrison.  She’s gallivanting for the next few days (lucky lady) so I have snagged this off her blog to share with you

Something a little different

When these images arrived from Lili of the Valley on Friday I was totally blown away, oh my word I am still drooling. Now don’t panic, we are not losing Rosie or any of the other cuties, but are adding to the range of fabulous stamps with these stunning fairies by Molly Harrison. Now isn’t this fairy just gorgeous!

I decided to use Memory Box Gossamer papers for this card, I think the soft colours with the splash of chocolate brown are just perfect for the fairy image. Loving the sentiment too, there is a range of them that will accompany these stamps. I am not sure when they will be released so watch this space ………

I used the delish German Glass Glitter again (can’t help myself lol). I die cut some chipboard stars with a Sizzix die then coated the large star with Distress Crackle Paint then edged it with the Glass Glitter. The small flat gardenia just fitted in with the arrangement perfectly I think. The other flowers are aster daisies and cherry blossoms.

I used the MFT Die-Namics Open Scallop border die is covered up by the bow and sentiment but it’s there, you can just see it peeking out. Talking about the bow, it’s that gorgeous silk ribbon again – love it!!

I coloured the image with copics and used:
Skin: E21, E00, E000
Hair: E79, E74, E70, E40
Dress: R21, R30, R00, R000, R89, R85

I will have another of these new fairies to show you later in the week.

Little Ballerina

Here’s a card I forgot to post on here when I posted it on my blog using one of my all time favourite images ever,  Little Ballerina

The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used 40mm hybrid tea rose, cherry blossom, aster daisies and gladioli stem flowers. All have been blinged to within an inch of their lives with pearl Glimmer Mist. The scrolls are from a Quickutz die.

I don’t know if this paper is still available it’s so old. All that’s on the paper is the makers – Studio Light, ScrapsL93.

The sentiment is by Lili of the Valley – Dream Days Sentiments which are back in stock.

I stamped the image on to Super Smooth Stamping card which in my opinion is the best out there for using with alcohol markers. coloured the image with Promarkers and used:
Skin: Apricot, Oatmeal, Blush
Hair: Raw Sienna, Mustard, Ivory
Dress and shoes: Cocktail Pink, Pale Pink and Blush

Vintage boy and vintage girl cards

Hi peeps. I've a couple of Cute Square cards to share today. One features a Vintage boy and the other Vintage girls.
I've used the same papers for both - a wee challenge to myself- and they are ones I picked up at the Belfast show recently. They are from Papermania's 'Persimmon' collection and I just couldn't resist the colour combination of rusts, cream, navy and yellow ochre (at least that's what I call it) LOL.

The boy's card is embellished with corrugated card and paper string; the girl's with flowers from Wild Orchid crafts and organza ribbon coloured with wild honey distress ink. The full details are on my blog if you need them.
