Christmas Joy

I thought you might like to see a card I have made using two of the gorgeous stamps from the recent release. All Wrapped Up

Isn't this little sweetie so cute All Wrapped Up although I wish now I hadn't coloured her in red :(  The papers are from last year  and are Kaiser I think.  I am so over last years Christmas papers now lol. Just wish the new papers would hurry up and be released.  

The Poinsettias have been coated with twinklets and I added Stardust Stickles to the edges although it's not showing up in the pic.

Good Afternoon Peeps another Lili of the Valley Christmas Release (Part 1) image to share with you today. 

This little image is just so adorable, I think a lot of this years Christmas Cards will be made with it.  I have used Copics and Prismas to colour the image, with lots of Glamour Dust to add sparkle.   The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves have been punched with Martha Stewart Punch.

Meet Milkshake

At Doncaster last week I was telling Jacqui and Marcea about my new and very lovely little car – I’ve just bought it and I said I’d post some pics up here so they could see….

(If you’re wondering about the weird number plate – I got some strange attack of paranoia about posting my acutal number plate on here – for anyone to see – who know’s what they’d do with it and all that – but anyway, I hid it :))

I’ve been planning on getting a new car for a while – I’ve loved my blue polo (which you can see just peeking out of the front of this picture) but it’s 9 years old now and getting it through it’s MOT this year cost me nearly what it’s worth so I reluctantly decided it was time to move on.  I hate selling cars but this time it was easy as my brother’s girlfriend is taking the Polo so I can be happy it’s off to a good home.

Anyway, back to Milkshake…I'm loving that chrome! .

I’d pondered over what car to buy this time around and had decided that a Fiat 500 was for me.  I love the retro styling and had read that they were roomy inside even though they are so small and dinky.  So off I went to the Fiat garage – all set to buy one in Bossa Nova white.  But my attempt at being all grown up and sensible was doomed before it even began.  Got to the Garage,  in I walked and there it was – so Pink and shiny.  I spent about half an hour wandering around looking at all the other cards but all along I knew I was kidding myself – I wasn’t going to buy a white one, or a red one, or a black one, etc, etc – you know the rest.  The minute I saw it I knew – I was going to have a bright, bubblegum pink, super girlie, retro cutie car.

It’s even pink inside – look!  And there’s only 500 ever been made.  I don’t know if that’s good because it’s rare or bad because they only think 500 people in the whole world would want one!  And what’s worse – I’m one of them – lol!

I do feel I must stress – I’m not usually the kind of person to name a car.  I love them and usually cry when I sell them – so I am soft, I admit that much.  But no I don’t name them.  But this car does strange things to you.  I smile at people when they push in in front of me – I get a warm and fuzzy feeling inside everytime a 4 year old jumps up and down going ‘Look Daddy a pink car’ when I drive by – All in all it’s so pink it’s make me act all pink and girlie.  It was just crying out to be christened and it’s just that colour – such a cool, strawberry ice cream pink.  So Milkshake was born.

You’ll have to let me know what you think – what I know is I absolutely love it!!!!!!!

Father Christmas

 

Whilst at Doncaster I realised we hadn’t got a card made with the awesome father Christmas Stamp from the new release, I have been trying since I got back to get one made as this image really comes to life when it is coloured.  It has taken me all week to finally get this card done, but I hope you think it worth it.

have used my usual Copics to colour him with PolyChromos pencils added to give a bit more depth.  I will be posting this card on my Blog tomorrow so if you would like to find out more on how it was made please pop over then.

Star of Wonder

 Well here I am again!!!!! I just had to post this cutie of a stamp this evening, I couldn't leave her until the morning. Just how much are you all loving the new christmas stamps from Lili of the Valley .... I really cannot choose a favourite and neither could all the fabulous crafters I met at the weekend ... one stamp is never enough is it!

 I have coloured the very pretty Star of Wonder with my copics and added lots of fabulous glamour dust (oooh it feels good to be covered in glitter again, lol).

There are still a few of the christmas stamps available on the website but you will have to be quick because they have almost all sold out. Don't worry though if you miss out this time because more are on their way and stocks should be replenished again in the next week or so .

I love making christmas cards in non traditional colours, it means you can use your favourite colours all year round. More gorgeous blooms from Wild Orchid Crafts, I love these flowers. So many LOTV customers were asking about these flowers at the weekend that I expect there will be a mad rush onto their website this week .... you can't mistake quality and value for money can you!

A Chatty Post

Good afternoon everyone, I am so late with today's post, but I have been trying to tidy up after my weekend away.  What a fantastic time we had at the Lili of the Valley Stand at Doncaster it was mega mega busy and on Saturday we sold out of lots of the new and old stamps, Bev, Marcea and I had to send Lisa and Laila home to pick up lots more stamps for Sunday, and again by the end of the show we had more empty boxes than full.
It was fabulous to see you all and thank you so much for your lovely comments, it is so nice to know that you love the stamps as much as we do, and once again it was so nice to put faces to names, a big thanks to Net who bought us a lovely box of yummy Cupcakes and also a fab punch each thanks hun XXXXX.
You may find that some of the  new stamps have also sold out on the website, Lisa and Laila order even more stamps than usual but the demand has been unprecedented, but don’t panic we hope to have them back in stock asap.
I coloured this image up at the show and he seemed to be very popular so i thought I would bring him home with me and make a card.
Here are a couple of photos taken of the Lili of the Valley Stand
may I present to you Laila, Marcea  and Lisa, the girls changed the layout of the stand on Sunday, and it worked really well, looks good don’t you think.

Now there is a reason for me showing this picture, I have a little story to tell about why I look so tired!!!!!, I stayed Saturday night at a hotel in Doncaster had a fabulous evening with Sara and the Girls from Crafters Companion, when I got back to the bedroom I had my shower before bed and put my watch back on, I woke up with a start in the morning took a look at my watch and saw it was 9am, we were supposed to be leaving for the racecourse at 9.15, I rushed had a shower put on my slap then pulled the curtains to find it pitched black outside, NUMPTY that I am I had put on my watch upside down!!!!!!! and it was actually 3am.  Nothing for it but to go outside and have a ciggie, so now you know why I look as if I am falling asleep on my feet

Bringing Gifts!

Just a card from me!  I am having more fun coloring these gorgeous images!!!! Every single one of the new releases are so pretty!  Have you bought yours yet?  Here's what I used for the card:

I was thrilled to try Bev's technique with the flowers by taking off the middle yellow pieces and adding these silver centers!  I added the glitter as well!

Star of Wonder Christmas Card!

Heres another card to show you using todays new launch of the "Christmas People Collection 2010". These are the most gorgeous designs and I'm sure you'll get so much pleasure from this new collection. This ones called "Star of Wonder". I have coloured her with Copics, Stickles & Viva Pearl Pens. I don't usually make many christmas cards in July and it will be nice to get ahead of myself for once.

"All Wrapped Up" in a sneekpeek

Wooohooo!!! Today Lili of the Valley's DT is showing off sneekpeeks of the new Christmas People Collection 2010 launched at the web-shop today!!!

And WOW! These are the most fabolous christmas stamps ever!!!

I love them all - and I'm sure you will too :)

I've had fun crafting with this beauty - "All Wrapped Up", making my first Christmas card of the year :)

 I've used Distress Ink - Refills to colour the adorable image "All Wrapped Up" (mainly in the colours of Shipped Safire & Pumice Stone) on aquarellpaper.Weathered Wood has been used to ink the edges.

The text is also from LOTV.

The PP I've used for this card, are from Maja Design's last years Christmas Collection, and are named Vintertid "Kyla" & "Snöflingor". I've also used white canvas & blue shimmer Bazzill cardstock. The georgeous frame is created by using Marianne Design - CreaTables LR 0112 (Bunny Zoe's Crafts) and Spellbinders - Nesting Classic & Petite Circles.

I've embellished the card with Hybrid Tea Roses 25 mm, Paper Roses 10mm & 15 mm, Poinsettias & Pearl Spray from Wild Orchid Crafts, and rhinestones from Kort & Godt.

The girls muff & tassels and all the beautiful roses are springled with glass glitter.

If you look closely at the image, it seems like the girl is covered with tiny snowflakes...an effect as a result of trying to seal my printer ink with Fixativ spray :) Quite cool, ha?

Another Christmas sneak peek

The new Christmas stamps from Lili of the Valley ARE ON SALE!!!  I think these are going to fly and be a sell out just like the A5 Stamp Sheets did so if you want some (or all!!) of these little darlings go and order them now so you are not disappointed.

I cannot believe just how much I am in love with these little darlings, they are just too adorable for words and today I am sharing Angel Gabriel.  Just check out those socks lol.

The light was really poo yesterday when I photographed this card (best place was the bathroom lol.  I have used Basic Grey Figgy Pudding papers, lots of Stickles and Twinklets were also added. 

Here’s a close up of the snowflakes, cut with a Spellbinders Create a Flake 1 die and smothered in Twinklets.  The sweet little 15mm roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

This was another mega rushed card so I don’t have the Copic colours I used, sorry.  The sentiment is from a Studio G set that I have had for absolute ages and it comes out every year and gets used over and over again.  The delish 25mm organza ribbon is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

2 hours and counting for the Release

Tuesday Night 13th July- 10pm.

We are nearly there just 2 more hours before the lovely Christmas Collection (Part 1) will be available on the Lili of the Valley website.  I know the girls are sitting by their computer screen waiting for the orders to come in, I am sure they will be in for a long night judging by the fantastic comments you have all been leaving.   So Roll on MIDNIGHT!!!!!!!

All thats left for me to do is show you all a couple more sneak peeks.

This darling image is called Christmas Magic and if I really really had to choose a favourite I do think she would win, I will post details of the card etc on my blog tomorrow if you are interested to see how  I made it.

Another sneak peek for you

Today I have another Christmas sneak peeks for you.  Don’t forget the new stamps from the Lili of the Valley release is going on sale tomorrow.

This stamp is called Mary and Joseph. I used Craft Creations gingham paper cos it puts me in mind of the tea-towels these little darlings would be wearing on their heads. Now is this just an adorable image or what, makes my lil old cynical heart melt right into a puddle lol.

The snowflakes are a combination of a Martha Stewart snowflake punch and Spellbinders Create a Flake 1. I have coated the aqua snowflakes with Twinklets (Love this stuff) and popped a spacer and pearl brad in the centre of each. Here’s a closer look

I have used the delish 25mm organza ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts, couldn’t believe how well it matched with the rest of the card.

I’ve coloured the image with Copics (I was in a rush to get this done so didn’t make a note of the colours I used, sorry).

Tip Toe Fairy

Here’s my attempt at an easel box with a drawer thingy (not quite sure what to call it)   and got the inspiration for this from Kirsten who does the most exquisite work. I opted for the easy version and only made one drawer which will be filled with chocolates or fashion jewellery for our Ben’s teacher (2 gifts down, loads more to go!). Sorry there are quite a few photos.

I am well pleased with how this turned out, even though I made it up as I went along as I wanted the easel card to be 6 x 6 so had a bit of a fiddle on to get the drawer the right size. The “handle” on the drawer is made up of two gold findings with a brad pushed through and secured on the inside of the drawer.

I used Papermania papers (Blueberry Hill) and stamped around the edges with a stamp from my Stempelglede Grunge Flourish Hearts set with Walnut Stain distress ink. I used a neglected border punch from Martha Stewart – forgot I even had this one it’s been gathering dust for that long!

The sentiment is a Stampin Up rub on, another thing I have had for so long I wasn’t even sure if it still had it’s stick. It did thank goodness. I overloaded on the pearls too, popped the little 3mm ones around the image and also on the punched border.

A close up of the roses that have been blinged with Glimmer mists to within an inch of their little lives lol.

And lastly to show the drawer does open (no chocs in yet cos I will just eat them lol).

I coloured the image with distress inks and watercolour pencils (couldn’t get the right shade of blue to match the roses on the paper till I got out the pencils).
