Bundle of Joy

Hi everyone! I thought I'd post my most recent card using 'Baby Blanket' here for those of you that may not have seen it already.
I used lots of pinks and creams for a special little baby girl. Baby was colored with Copics and Stickled a bit for a little sparkle. The little rosebuds are rolled up strips of wool felt, cut with a rick rack die.
Here's a closer look at the main image:

Isn't she just the most darling little thing?! I love her!!

Hope it inspires, and thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: LOTV Baby Blanket, Impression Obsession, Papertrey Ink sentiment
Ink: Memento, Distress, Perfect Match
Paper: Heavenly White, PTI, Core'dinations
Accessories: Martha Stewart tiny tag & Modern Garland punches, PTI scallop & Rick Rack dies,   Copics, wool felt, pearl seed beads, needle, thread, Stickles, twill ribbon

Story-Time

I’ve used Little Girls – Story Time stamp from Lili of the Valley for today’s card and gone rather vintage.

I did quite a bit of distressing on this card, I used Timmy's distressing tool on the edges, then inked them with Walnut Stain ink then smeared some Distress Crackle paint around the edges.

The image has been coloured with distress inks.

NEW DECKCHAIR DREAMING VIDEO - USING WATERCOLOUR PAPER

Here's the video tut using our LOTV Deckchair Dreaming stamp coloured with Promarkers on watercolour paper.

Hope it's helpful - sorry it's a bit dark and a little blurred but the weather is so gloomy here today it's the best we could achieve.

ALSO JUST A REMINDER - DON'T FORGET TO VISIT OUR CHALLENGE BLOG - IT'S A BRAND NEW CHALLENGE TODAY AND OUR DT HAVE DONE THEMSELVES PROUD WITH THEIR GORGEOUS CARDS. WILD ORCHID CRAFTS ARE SPONSORING THE CHALLENGE AND HAVE DONATED SOME BLOOMING LOVELY CANDY (PUN INTENDED)!

MY EXCITING DISCOVERY

I don't know if I'm being a bit slow and you have all worked this out already but I've just discovered that watercolour paper is absolutely fantastic to use with your Promarkers!!!

I've been preparing some more video tutorials and have been playing around with my using my Promarkers on different papers and I can't believe how amazingly well they work when you use them on proper cold pressed watercolour paper.

I've avoided it in the past because for some reason I thought the promarkers just wouldn't get on with it - I assumed it would be too thick and too absorbent and that the pens would blend well - How wrong can someone be!!!

Sorry for the terrible photo I don't know if it makes it clear - but I wanted to show you how great the promarkers blend together on the paper. All the colouring and blending just seems to look so much more professional.

But the best thing for me has to be that the pens hardly bleed over the lines at all. No matter how much you blend the colours and put down more and more ink it seems to stay where you want it. This has always been a problem for me in the past as I'm a bit generous with the amound of ink I put down on the paper - but with this paper it's not an issue any more.

I'm filming the tutorial for this image today - showing how I coloured in the Deckchair Dreaming bear. It should hopefully be up here tonight and you'll be able to see far better what I'm raving about. For me it's like working with new pens - they just blend so much more easily and the colours seem to work together better - amazing!

Sorry for the few days lack of posting - we've been so busy doing orders I haven't had time to stop!!

I had to share this gorgeous card that Jane Brown - one of our customers has sent to us. She's used our new Sailing Boat stamp and I think she's captured the nautical feel wonderfully. Thanks Jane - I especially love the bunting and the way the image overlaps the oval - it's a real little work of art!

Jane's list of the products she's used:
