Happy New Year with a Sneek Peek

Lili of the Valley Challenge – New Beginnings and a sneak peek
For our last challenge of 2010 on Lili of the Valley Challenge we have a theme to follow – new beginnings. This could be a new baby, new job, new school, new life together – wedding or engagement or any new event, new technique or even any new crafty stash. I have gone with the wedding theme, new stamp, new Doo Hickey dies and a new technique (distressing the seam binding)
The sentiment on the tag is computer generated.
The pearls, guipure lace and flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used 15mm roses, 4mm rose buds, 25mm tea rose, 20mm rose.
I cut out a heart, punched two holes in so it looked like a button then coated with Distress Crackle Paint, then once dry heat embossed with UTEE to give a high shine. I distressed the seam binding which will soon be available at The Ribbon Girl.

Sneak Peek
As yesterday mentioned i have a card to show with the new “Lili” stamps. This one is called “Dandelion Clock”. All new stamps are going to be up for purchase on the store page on January 11. There are going to be some fabulous Valentines stamps, Wedding theme and all occasion images. Aim sure the DT will show you many samples till January 11. Lisa wants me to let you know that the prices per stamp have slightly increased from 3.75 to 4 pounds a stamp in January 2011.
I usually do not use many lilac or purple colors on my cards… wonder why but i wanted to use the yellows and the lilacs on this card.
The pad is by Basic Grey,
Tools: Magnolia Doohickey Die, Martha Stewart border punch, Doily from Michaels, Sentiment by Stampin up (Wheel i took apart)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Sneak peek - Teddy Romeo
Here's a wee sneak peek at one of the new stamps coming out in January. Isn't he a cutie! He comes with his own wee sentiment too.
I've coloured the image with Copics and Promarkers and matted it onto rectangle nesties.
The backing paper is from the Prima set 'Annalee' and the cs is Coredinations from the chocolate box collection. The border is punched with a deep edge Martha Stewart punch, flowers are a selection from my stash. The pearls are from the Hobby House.
I hope you all have a very Happy Christmas and New Year and are a lot better prepared than I am at the minute. LOL

Gift Card Purse
Hi ladies, hope you had a wonderful day! I will have more photos up today, but i hope to have an idea for you if you need a last minute gift for one of your friends.
The other day i was at Starbucks and thought about my friend, who’s really busy getting her stuff done before the holidays and i know she loves Starbucks. Who can not use a little boost while shopping and staying in line :-)
So here is my little card purse – i used Lili of the Valley’s cute teddy “Jenny bear – all shopped out” with it.
Now, as you know there are different ways to keep things like this closed.. Velcro or the tiny magnets. I did no have any magnets and i do not really like the look of Velcro. My flap holds shut with the rather stiff felt ribbon, i placed just so it would overlap the circle a little bit.
simple inside… i could have decorated here even more… at some point i wanted to add some scallops to the opening. I just ran out of crafting time :-)
Alright.. here is an other shot :-) DT will keep showing images with the very new January 2011 stamp release and i can tell you… they are SUUUUPER cute. You will love them 20!!! new stamps!
Papers: Stampin up Design Paper
Other: Spellbinders dies, Stampin up Top Note die
Sentiments: Magnolia (inside) and Whimsy Postmark stamp.
How to make the purse, can be found here, i extended the size to i believe 8 inches so i would be able to use a bigger focal point image.

Sneak Peek... 'I Do'
I thought about using one of those glamorous Prima pearl flourishes to adorn the card, but I didn't have a plain white one. So I created my own by embossing a flourish stamp and tracing it with a white Viva Pearl pen. I added a few tiny rhinestones for a little more sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by, keep checking back for more peeks at the new stamps next week!
